Small, well-known city, 33 km north-west from Kerry, 118 km north-west from Cork, 103 km south-west from Limerick. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway N22 Kerry. For arrivals by plane: airport Cork International (ORK) 120 km, Kerry (KIR) 30 km. Tralee is the main town in Kerry and is situated on the south west coast of Ireland at the entrance to the Dingle Peninsula. It offers all the facilities of a major town, with historic buildings, parks, excellent shopping, good restaurants, pubs and vibrant nightlife. To the west of Tralee there are a number of sandy beaches which offer sailing, fishing and water sports. Children's attractions in the area including an Aquadome, bowling and cinema. For the adults, hill walking, horse riding, race course, greyhound track and some excellent golf is on offer. Tralee is the headquarters of Siamsa Tire (Ireland’s National Folk Theatre) which continues to attract worldwide critical acclaim for its adaptations of Irish folklore, music and dance.
